ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) POLICY

Journal of Advanced Chemical Frontiers (JACF) recognizes the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in scholarly research and scientific publishing. The journal supports the responsible, ethical, and transparent use of AI-assisted tools while upholding the highest standards of research integrity, academic honesty, and publication ethics. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to use AI technologies responsibly and in accordance with internationally accepted publishing standards.

Responsible Use of AI

AI-assisted tools may be used to improve language, grammar, readability, or formatting. However, AI must not replace the authors' intellectual contribution, scientific judgment, or critical analysis. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all submitted content.

Disclosure of AI Use

Authors should clearly disclose the use of AI tools if they have contributed significantly to the preparation of the manuscript. The disclosure should identify the AI tool used and briefly explain its role in the manuscript preparation process.

Authorship and Accountability

Artificial Intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, as they are unable to assume responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, or originality of scholarly work. Authorship is limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions and accept full accountability for the published research.

Ethical Compliance

Authors must ensure that AI-generated content is carefully reviewed, verified, and free from plagiarism, fabricated information, misleading statements, or copyright infringement. The use of AI must always comply with the journal's publication ethics and editorial policies.

Editorial and Peer Review

Editors and reviewers should not upload confidential manuscripts or unpublished research data to AI platforms that may compromise confidentiality, privacy, or intellectual property. Any AI-assisted use during the editorial process must preserve the integrity and confidentiality of peer review.

Policy Updates

The journal reserves the right to revise or update this policy in response to advancements in AI technologies, evolving publishing practices, and internationally recognized ethical standards.
